If game is already on and machines are out:ġ.-Do not defend your cities, Dread will beat out on siegue battles. Then your buffed support units can take it from there. The standard combo of Martyr/Crusader works wonders. Rush, in the begining you have much better troops. If you just managed to stun them, this is really destructive. Stunning Touch works miracles against those machines, and if you have righteous zeal and used mark of the heretic, they also deal amazing damage over 4 channels. Get your exalted in there, and get them leveled. 3 to 4 targets can make it worth, tho more is ofc better.įinal note: Try to out number them. They deal massive damage even to machines, and they won't hurt your exalted. Firstborn are excellent, but others can work as well.Ħ) Look for opportunities to use your Shrine's explode abilities. I mentioned they have resurgence ?ĥ) March in your T3 units, if you have them. Blessing of Health can be a nice boost if you need it.ģ) Keep the shrine a bit further back, shooting out the units kept busy by your exalted.Ĥ) Enemy will be busy killing your exalted. Stun machines if you have the medals, otherwise attack them. Either have resurgence, so that's great.ġ) Use Mark of the Heretic prior to combatĢ) Fly in the exalted. Angels are good, but you shouldn't wait for them. Evangelists are nice, but not in late game - you can't convert his machines anyway, and it's better to fill that army slot with another exalted. Race T3's can work well(especially with Dwarves, as Firstborns are Fire Immune, and therefore really good against a lot of Dread stuff). Also, given that you have a decent economy(which you should), this sort of army is easier to build. So having 2 of the above stacks in one battle gives your shrines 30/30 damage, or 3 stacks gives 40/40 damage. Keep in mind that Shrine damage stacks based on battle, not stack.
Otherwise, their stunning touch on medal can be good to disable machines, and you can just suicide them in, having resurgence.
Spam mark of the Heretic for bonus damage - and to enable the Exalted's Righteous Zeal. Try adding some stacks having like 5 Exalted + Shrine. Well, at least Armageddon gives you a chance.
